Sam joined Shipleys as an audit trainee and has gained experience serving a wide range of the firm's clients. Whilst Sam still manages a broad spectrum of clients, he also specialises in the audit of financial services sector. As this sector regularly involves entities falling within scope of FCA regulation, Sam is also responsible for undertaking CASS audits as well as statutory audits and accounts preparations. In doing so, he works closely with his clients in order to ensure they remain up to date with the relevant reporting requirements in this regulated sector.
Sam joined Shipleys LLP in 2017, shortly after graduating from the University of Birmingham. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2020 and was promoted to Audit Supervisor in 2021. In January 2023, Sam was promoted to Assistant Manager.
Sam is a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and is also a member of Shipleys’ audit technical committee.
In his spare time Sam plays rugby for H.A.C. RFC and is a regular gym goer. Outside the sporting arena, he is a passionate home cook and takes great joy in eating well. Sam is also a member of Shipleys' active social committee.
