Work and clients

Laura specialises in personal tax matters and supports Shipleys private clients with issues relating to Income Tax, National Insurance Contributions, Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax. Working with Shipleys Tax Principals she provides advice and assists with the tax compliance of high-net worth individuals, non-residents, non-UK domiciles, trusts and estates. In doing so, Laura helps clients comply with their tax obligations, pay the right amount of tax and smoothly navigate the ever-changing tax landscape.

The route to Shipleys

Laura started her career in London at HMRC and then trained at Littlejohn Frazer. Following a move to Dorset she worked for two regional firms, then in November 2022, Laura joined Shipleys as a Tax Manager.

Memberships

Laura is an associate of The Chartered Institute of Taxation and a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

Interests outside work

In her spare time, Laura is a lead volunteer for Oxfam. She also enjoys campervan (holidays and music festivals), walking, cooking, going to the theatre and the cinema.
