Work and clients

James enjoys supporting owner-managed businesses and large corporate groups with a wide range of corporate tax issues. His work includes reviewing corporate tax returns, undertaking tax due diligence and advising on corporate reorganisations, corporate and property transactions, business structures and share schemes.

The route to Shipleys

James began his career working in the field of personal tax but soon progressed to preparing corporation tax returns. His interest in corporate tax matters grew and he joined a mid-tier firm to further develop his advisory skills within their corporate and business team. In May 2022 he joined Shipleys LLP as an Assistant Manager in Corporate Tax.

Memberships

James is a member of the Association of Accounting Technicians, the Association of Taxation Technicians and The Chartered Institute of Taxation.

Interests outside work

In his spare time, James enjoys travel, football and going to the gym.
