Work and clients: Dean advises on personal tax matters, looking after a wide range of private clients from company directors and high net worth individuals to sole traders, non UK domiciliaries and estates. He believes developing relationships and trust with clients is the key to providing a service tailored to clients’ specific needs and aims to ease the burden of tax compliance whilst delivering advice and planning in a practical way. Dean also hosts Shipleys' podcast series - Shipleys FM - and every two weeks shares practical accounting and tips, as well as insightful interviews with Shipleys' clients, contacts and colleagues.

The route to Shipleys: Dean entered the world of tax via HMRC and, following 5 years there, ventured into practice with Davis Burton Sellek where he qualified and became a member of the Association of Taxation Technicians. Dean joined Shipleys in 2008 and is based in Godalming. He became a Director in the Tax team in 2019.

Memberships: Association of Taxation Technicians

Interests outside work: Away from the office Dean enjoys time with his wife and young daughter. He is a keen, albeit rubbish, golfer and he regularly plays badminton and football.
