His accounting expertise, married to a wealth of tax experience, enables him to advise on a range of issues from the structure of a new business to the tax implications of proposed transactions. Most entertaining deal or case: "Being told I could not possibly be an accountant. People have an expectation of what an accountant will be and do.
The biggest buzz I get out of my job is understanding my clients and their needs and helping them achieve their goals, invariably the advice wont just cover the accounts!"

Proudest professional moments: "There are a number but the best are always where I've helped my client save money or achieve something they've wanted to achieve."

Interests outside work: Simon is married with two young children and lives in Surbiton, Surrey. He is keen on sport, although perhaps increasingly more as a spectator than participant! He enjoys watching rugby and cricket, plays cricket for Netherne village, skis and plays golf. He is also an avid motorcyclist. He drives his family mad by getting excited at the credits on television for programmes made by his entertainment & media clients.
