Work and clients: Penny looks after the to day to day tax affairs of a wide variety of corporate clients in such diverse fields as a Department Store, Timber Merchant, Film and Television companies and Charities, as well a number of High Net worth individuals. Providing advice on proposed transactions as well as completing year end tax returns.

The route to Shipleys: Started with an accounting training contract in 1974, but switched to Tax in 1978 as being "considerably more interesting". Worked in a top 20 practice for some years specialising in Landed Estates before joining Shipleys in 1988.

Interests outside work:

An enthusiastic gardener (weather permitting), maintains a number of Bonsai Trees. Also enjoys Crewel embroidery sometimes working from own designs and is an avid reader.
