Shipleys LLP announces new Managing Principal

Shipleys LLP, the London and Godalming-based Chartered Accountancy and Business Advisory firm, has announced the appointment of Simon Robinson as their new Managing Principal. In his new role, Simon will be responsible for the firm’s overall management and practice, implementing the firm’s strategy, overseeing the development of their people and maintaining top quality client service. Simon takes over from Ken Roberts, who steps down after four years in the role and is returning full-time to client work.
After qualifying as an accountant whilst working with HW Fisher and Co, Simon worked at KPMG before joining Shipleys in 1989 and becoming a Principal in 1995. His expertise lies in providing accountancy and tax services to clients in entertainment and media, professional practices, owner-managed business, IT, retail and to private clients. He is known for his practical hands-on approach.

Shipleys has also promoted Rob Wood to Principal. Rob, who works predominantly with clients in the financial services sector, joined Shipleys in 2007 and was promoted to a manager in 2011.
